Small Animal Veterinarian

Northern Adelaide Plains | Full-Time or Part-Time | New Graduates Welcome

A well-established and privately owned small animal clinic located approximately 30 minutes north of Adelaide CBD is seeking a veterinarian to join its growing and collaborative team.

This is an excellent opportunity for either a new graduate seeking strong mentorship or an experienced vet looking for surgical exposure and clinical autonomy within a supportive environment.

The Opportunity

You will join a close-knit team of experienced veterinarians and capable nurses in a modern, well-equipped general practice. The clinic manages a diverse caseload in-house, including routine procedures, advanced soft tissue surgery, and orthopaedics, while maintaining strong referral relationships when required.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys surgery, case work-ups, and building meaningful client relationships.

About You

  • BVSc or equivalent qualification with Australian registration (or eligibility)

  • Confident with routine surgeries (speys, neuters) and keen to develop further surgical skills

  • Strong communicator who can explain treatment options clearly and empathetically

  • Team-oriented and collaborative in approach

  • Comfortable balancing gold-standard care with practical client solutions

  • Open to continued learning and professional development

New graduates are encouraged to apply — mentorship and clinical support are available.

Facilities & Equipment

This clinic is well-equipped to support thorough diagnostics and quality patient care, including:

  • Digital radiography

  • Dental radiography (IM3)

  • Ultrasound

  • Endoscopy

  • Full in-house laboratory

  • Tonometry

  • Cautery

  • Syringe drivers and IV pumps

  • Patient warming systems and humidicrib

The team is also open to investing in additional equipment to support clinical interests.

What’s on Offer

  • Supportive and positive team culture

  • Flexible full-time or part-time scheduling

  • Competitive salary package based on experience

  • Ongoing CPD and development opportunities

  • Scope for career growth within a growing practice

  • Strong nursing support and collaborative case management

If you are looking to join a progressive clinic with a strong team focus and genuine commitment to patient care, we would love to hear from you.
