An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Companion Animal Veterinarian to join a well-established, community-focused practice in beautiful Northland.

About the Practice

This is a positive, cheerful, and collaborative environment led by a caring Team Leader who prioritises staff wellbeing. The team includes experienced veterinarians and highly skilled, supportive nurses who make day-to-day practice both efficient and enjoyable.

The wider organisation is a multi-clinic mixed practice servicing the greater Whangarei district. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied and interesting caseload within a Best Practice accredited environment.

The clinic is well-equipped with:

  • Digital radiography

  • Ultrasound

  • Dental radiography

  • Fluid pumps

  • IDEXX in-house diagnostics

You’ll have everything you need to deliver outstanding care and achieve a high level of professional satisfaction.


About the Role

As a valued member of the team, you will:

  • Build strong, lasting relationships with loyal clients and their pets

  • Work up cases thoroughly from initial presentation through to resolution

  • Enjoy a balanced mix of consulting, medical, and surgical responsibilities

  • Receive ongoing support and mentorship

This is a permanent position with an approximately 1:5 after-hours roster.

  • Companion Animal only

  • Days off provided following a weekend worked

  • Full-time or part-time applications welcomed

  • CPD is actively supported and encouraged

You will work within a supportive multi-clinic structure across the local area.
