A progressive veterinary group is seeking an experienced Chief Veterinary Officer to provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance while remaining connected to hands-on practice within a modern Springvale clinic.

The Opportunity
This role combines clinical leadership with collaboration across veterinary teams, supporting high standards of patient care and professional development.
You will:

  • Mentor and support veterinary teams to maintain excellent clinical standards
  • Contribute to clinical guidelines, protocols, and best-practice procedures
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex clinical cases
  • Lead peer discussions and support positive clinical outcomes
  • Assist with veterinarian recruitment, graduate engagement, and industry relationships
  • Represent the veterinary team at professional forums and conferences

The State Chief Veterinary Officer role would rotate the leadership of the Vet Advocacy Group which is a formal panel made up of a handful Senior Vets of nationally to:

  • Review and assess clinical outcomes
  • Evaluate client clinical complaints from a peer-review perspective
  • Align with Aimee as GM on appropriate clinical conclusions, learnings, and outcomes

 
Remuneration is up to $170k + super with travel/car allowance

  • Experienced veterinarian with 5+ years of clinical practice
