Supervisory Veterinarian | Senior Clinical Leadership Role

Lead Clinically. Mentor Confidently. Focus on What Matters Most.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinarian who is passionate about clinical excellence, mentoring, and developing the next generation of vets – without the pressure of practice finances or business management.

This senior leadership position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys guiding teams, supporting clinical standards, and providing high-level mentorship, while remaining focused purely on patient care and professional development.

Working across two well-established, modern veterinary practices, this role offers the chance to influence clinical outcomes, support veterinarians at all stages of their careers, and help shape a strong, collaborative team culture.

About the Role

As Supervisory Veterinarian, the focus is on clinical leadership rather than budgets or profit and loss responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Championing gold-standard veterinary medicine across multiple practices
  • Setting, reviewing, and maintaining high clinical standards aligned with professional and regulatory guidelines
  • Mentoring and supporting early-career and developing veterinarians to build confidence and capability
  • Providing guidance on complex cases, surgery, diagnostics, and treatment planning
  • Leading clinical discussions, case reviews, audits, and continuing education initiatives
  • Creating a positive, learning-focused clinical culture built on collaboration and accountability
  • Advocating for best-practice medicine and exceptional patient care
  • Working closely with leadership teams while remaining free from financial management responsibilities

About the Clinics

These progressive, well-equipped practices offer access to advanced diagnostics, modern surgical facilities, and purpose-built patient care spaces designed to support high-quality veterinary medicine.

The team manages a diverse caseload across preventative care, surgery, dentistry, imaging, rehabilitation, and more – providing ongoing clinical variety and professional challenge.

You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative environment where veterinarians, nurses, and leadership teams genuinely value mentorship, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Veterinary degree with current (or eligible) Australian registration
  • Strong clinical experience and commitment to best-practice medicine
  • A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing veterinarians
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in guiding others
  • Previous experience in clinical leadership, supervision, or mentoring
  • A professional, values-driven approach to patient care and team support

What’s on Offer

  • Highly competitive salary package
  • Generous CPD allowance and funded professional development
  • Access to extensive clinical resources, mentoring networks, and leadership support
  • A respected senior clinical role with strong influence and work-life balance
  • The opportunity to shape veterinary standards and support career growth – without business pressure

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior veterinarian looking to step into a meaningful leadership role where clinical quality, mentorship, and patient care remain the true priorities.
