🏥 Introduction to the Practice: A premier, multi-site veterinary group is seeking a surgically-focused Veterinary Surgeon to join their team at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. This practice is part of a collaborative regional network, boasting a diverse team of 17 clinicians including multiple certificate holders in cardiology, internal medicine, and diagnostic imaging. With a focus on clinical excellence and long-term patient outcomes, this is an ideal environment for a surgeon who values peer-to-peer case discussion and high-standard facilities.

📍 About the Practice & Location: The practice has recently undergone a full renovation, offering a cutting-edge clinical environment equipped with five consult rooms and a dedicated surgical suite.

  • 🧪 Full in-house laboratory and digital X-ray

  • 🔬 Immediate access to advanced diagnostics including CT, MRI, and Scopes Perfectly situated on the Essex/Hertfordshire border, the practice offers excellent transport links for those commuting from North London or surrounding home counties 🚆.

🩺 About the Role: This position is designed for a Surgeon who wants to lead their own clinics with a strong bias toward orthopaedic care.

  • Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) with flexibility for 4 or 5-day weeks 🗓️

  • Weekend Rota: 1 in 10 on-call

  • OOH: None

  • Clinical Scope: Leading advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic cases while maintaining a presence in general consultations and providing guidance to junior clinicians.

👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ About You: This opportunity is tailored for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who has already achieved post-graduate recognition in surgery. You will:

  • Be RCVS registered with a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery 🎓

  • Be highly confident in performing cruciate repairs, basic fracture repairs, and advanced soft tissue surgery

  • Enjoy a mix of complex surgical cases and client-facing consultations

  • Possess a collaborative mindset, ready to work alongside a dynamic nursing team and mentor new graduates 📈
