We’re representing a long-standing, privately owned veterinary group in North West Brisbane, and they’re looking for an experienced Surgical Veterinary Nurse to join their team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on surgical nursing position across a group of established clinics offering medical, surgical, dental, palliative, rehabilitation and advanced nursing services.
You’ll work closely with experienced GPs, visiting specialists and a collaborative nursing team.

Day-to-day you’ll be involved in:

• Surgical prep, monitoring, recovery and post-op care

• Supporting orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures

• Ensuring excellent anaesthetic safety and patient advocacy

• Assisting with in-house diagnostics (pathology, imaging, dental X-rays)

• Providing a high level of communication and client care

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or 5+ years experience equivalent)

• Strong surgical and anaesthesia experience

• Confident, calm and proactive workflow in theatre

• Excellent patient care and communication skills

• Team-focused approach and a commitment to high clinical standards

• Full working rights in Australia

Salary & Hours

• $34–35 per hour, depending on experience

• Flexible hours available

• Part-time or full-time considered for the right surgical nurse
