An incredible opportunity has arisen for an experienced, surgery-focused Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly successful, award-winning team. This role is perfect for a clinician who is fully confident and proficient in performing both complex soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures, and who either holds a relevant postgraduate certificate or is currently pursuing one. 🚀
📍 About the Practice & Location:
The practice is a premier, small animal first-opinion hospital offering 24-hour care, located on the leafy edges of the West Midlands, comfortably within a 30-minute commute of Birmingham City Centre. 🌳
Operating from an accredited Veterinary Hospital alongside several local surrounding branches, the team consists of 19 dedicated vets, including 7 certificate holders in surgery, cardiology, dermatology, medicine, and ophthalmology. 🩺
The state-of-the-art facilities offer an exceptional, highly insured caseload and access to cutting-edge equipment, including:

💼 About the Role and Team:
This is a permanent role, with both full-time and part-time applicants warmly welcomed.
- Hours: 40 hours per week 🕒
- Rota: 1:10 full weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and 1:5 Saturdays.
- Work-Life Balance: Time back in lieu is provided the following week for weekend shifts. The last weekday appointment is at 6:30 PM, and a dedicated on-site night team covers all OOH work, ensuring no overnight duties! 🛌

🎯 About You: (To Be Considered)
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Registration: Must have RCVS registration.
- Surgical Expertise: Full confidence and competence in performing routine and advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures independently, with extensive veterinary experience. 🔪
- Qualifications: Currently holding or actively pursuing a postgraduate surgical certificate. 🎓
- Team Spirit: A strong desire to champion surgical excellence, mentor team members in surgical workflows, and communicate complex treatment plans clearly to clients. 🗣️
