About the Role
We’re looking for a forward-thinking Telehealth Veterinarian to lead initial and follow-up telehealth consultations for pet owners. You’ll be guiding clients through their preventative health journey — collecting clinical histories, preparing them for an upcoming diagnostic pathway, and later reviewing results once radiology and bloodwork are completed at partner clinics.

This is a contract position (paid daily), with the potential to grow in scope and weekly hours as the service expands.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Telehealth Consults
• Conduct 30–45 minute initial telehealth consultations with pet owners
• Gather structured clinical histories prior to the comprehensive assessment
• Identify pre-existing conditions, risk factors, or contraindications
• Prepare owners for the diagnostic process and answer general clinical questions within scope
• Complete a 30–45 minute follow-up consult once radiology and blood test results are available

2. Consent & Documentation
• Facilitate and verify consent forms, pre-screening questionnaires, and clinical disclosures
• Flag any missing information or clinical red flags that require review

3. Clinical Protocol Development
• Work with the founding team and veterinary advisors to develop consultation protocols and pre-screening criteria
• Help refine and standardise clinical workflows as the product evolves

About You
• Registered Veterinarian in Australia with 3–5+ years of clinical experience
• Background in telehealth, internal medicine, or diagnostic workups is advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills — warm, supportive, and confident with pet parents
• Passionate about preventative care, innovation, and improving longevity outcomes for pets
• Comfortable working with a high-growth startup and contributing to the development of new clinical frameworks

Contract Details
• Daily rate (negotiated based on experience)
• Initial requirement: approximately 1 day per week/fortnight, flexible
• Ability to increase days and responsibilities over time
• Fully remote role

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
• Contribute to an innovative, first-of-its-kind preventative diagnostics platform
• Blend of clinical and non-clinical work, helping shape new standards in pet longevity
• Join early in an exciting, well-funded growth phase
• Genuine long-term growth potential as the service scales nationally and internationally
