We are assisting a well-established small animal practice in Somerset with the recruitment of a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and knowledgeable team.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for a vet who enjoys first opinion practice and wants to become part of an established team that genuinely values patient care and its people.

The role offers plenty of variety, including:

• Consultations and routine surgery
• Inpatient care
• Time at the practice's branch surgery
• A mixture of clinical responsibilities across the week
• Full-time or part-time options
• Full-time vets working a 4-day week
• 1 in 6 weekend rota
• No OOH or bank holiday work
• Support to develop your own clinical interests

The team is particularly keen to hear from vets who are comfortable with sole charge and have day-one competencies.

The Practice

This is a busy, well-established 100% small animal practice with some exotic work, offering a strong level of clinical support and modern facilities.

The practice has dedicated inpatient shifts for both vets and nurses, a dedicated night team and a good range of diagnostic and surgical equipment.

There is also plenty of opportunity to develop your clinical interests, with certificates and further training actively encouraged.

We're looking for a friendly, approachable Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is confident with the day-to-day demands of first opinion practice.

Based in Somerset, you'll have beautiful countryside and West Coast beaches nearby, while the M5 provides easy access towards Bristol and Exeter.
