Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice – Portsmouth

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, purpose-built small animal practice in Portsmouth. This is a great opportunity for a vet looking to deliver high-quality clinical care while working within a friendly, supportive team environment.

The Role

• Salary £50,000 – £70,000 per year depending on experience

• 39 hours per week across 4 days

• 1 in 4 weekends on a fair rota

• Provide preventative healthcare, diagnostics and treatment for a varied small animal caseload

• Manage cases with a strong focus on early diagnostics and continuity of care

• Work closely with a collaborative team of veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff

About You

You will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least 2 years’ experience, including a minimum of 1 year practising in the UK. You will have a strong interest in early diagnostics, be committed to following through on treatment plans, and be keen to continue developing your clinical skills.

Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for patient wellbeing are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
