A well-established small animal veterinary practice in Melbourne's central region is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join its supportive and collaborative team on a permanent part-time basis.
The recently renovated hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical facilities, including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house pathology, advanced anaesthetic monitoring, digital dental radiology, and a dedicated dental suite. The Opportunity
This permanent part-time role offers 15 hours per week across two weekdays, providing excellent flexibility for veterinarians seeking a healthy work-life balance.
The successful candidate will enjoy a diverse caseload, ranging from routine consultations and surgery to emergency presentations. The practice also works closely with visiting specialists, creating valuable opportunities for ongoing clinical development. While the majority of patients are dogs and cats, there is scope for those interested in treating birds and other small animals.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A BVSc (or equivalent) and eligibility for veterinary registration in Australia.
- At least 3 years' experience in small animal general practice.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- A collaborative, team-focused approach.
- An interest in high standards of patient care, animal behaviour, and low-stress handling techniques.
- A passion for building lasting client relationships and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
