Global Veterinary Careers is supporting a well established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in East Orlando that is seeking an experienced Veterinarian Medical Director to lead clinical operations and mentor a collaborative veterinary team.
This role is well suited to a veterinarian who enjoys combining hands-on clinical work with leadership responsibilities and wants to shape medical standards, culture, and long-term hospital success.

• Approximately 10,000 sq ft modern hospital
• Eight fully equipped exam rooms

Compensation & Incentives
• Guaranteed base salary up to $200,000 DOE
• Production bonus for high earning potential
• Sign-on, retention, and relocation assistance available
• Total incentive packages available up to six figures
• Full-time position
• Flexible scheduling with preference for four shifts per week
• Rotating weekends
Leadership Responsibilities
• Provide clinical leadership and medical direction
• Mentor, coach, and support associate veterinarians
• Establish and maintain medical standards and protocols
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, OSHA, and AAHA standards
• Promote a collaborative and positive hospital culture
• Lead and participate in veterinarian recruitment and interviews
• Partner with hospital leadership on operational and financial performance
• Monitor KPIs and guide sustainable hospital growth
• Serve as both a practicing clinician and medical leader
The Role
• Deliver high-quality veterinary care to patients
• Maintain excellent client communication and continuity of care
• Review medical records for completeness and accuracy
• Handle complex medical cases and client concerns
• Support medical policy development and implementation
• Act as a role model for professionalism and clinical standards

Candidate Requirements
• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
• Active Florida veterinary license or ability to obtain
• DEA registration or ability to maintain
• 3–5+ years of clinical veterinary experience
• Strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills
• Leadership or mentorship experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
