Registered Veterinary Nurse
West Sussex

£35,000 | Monday–Friday | NO Weekends | NO OOH | Independent Clinic

Want your weekends back? This could be the role for you!

GVC are assisting a brilliantly run, genuinely independent veterinary clinic in West Sussex with the recruitment of a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their established team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN who wants to work in a supportive, close-knit GP practice where patient care comes first, your clinical skills are valued, and there are absolutely NO WEEKENDS.

With an experienced team already in place and a Head RVN to work closely alongside, this is a lovely opportunity to join a practice that has built a strong reputation for doing things the right way.

The Role

You’ll join a friendly clinical team made up of:

  • 2 full-time Vets
  • 1 part-time Vet
  • 1 Head RVN
  • You, as the new RVN!

This is a varied GP nursing role, so we’re looking for someone who feels confident and enjoys getting involved in both theatre work and nurse consultations.

You’ll work closely with the Head Nurse and wider veterinary team, playing an important role in delivering excellent patient care while having the opportunity to use and develop your nursing skills.

Your Working Week

Monday–Thursday: 8am–6pm
Friday: 8am–5pm
1-hour lunch break every day

And the best bit…

NO WEEKENDS. 🙌

That’s right, this is a Monday–Friday role, with your Saturdays and Sundays completely free.

There is also NO OOH requirement, with out-of-hours care covered by an external provider.

So, if you’re looking for a role that gives you a proper Monday–Friday work-life balance, this could be the one.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified RVN
  • Ideally with a few years of experience within a veterinary practice
  • Confident across both theatre and nurse consultations
  • Comfortable working as part of a close-knit team
  • Passionate about delivering high standards of patient and client care
  • Someone who enjoys being part of an independent practice where their contribution genuinely matters

You’ll be joining an exceptionally well-run independent clinic where the team works collaboratively and supports one another.

What’s on Offer?

  • £35,000 salary
  • Monday–Friday working week
  • NO WEEKENDS
  • NO OOH
  • 1-hour lunch break
  • On-site parking
  • Support from an experienced Head RVN
  • Varied GP nursing caseload
  • A genuinely independent clinic
  • Friendly, close-knit and supportive team
  • Excellent work-life balance
  • A practice that puts its people and patients first

Interested?

The team is looking for someone to join around October/November 2026, but they completely understand that good nurses may have notice periods to work through.

The interview process is relaxed and personal — usually an initial conversation followed by spending a couple of hours in the clinic to meet the team, see the practice and get a feel for whether it’s the right fit for you.

If you’re an RVN in West Sussex looking for a fantastic independent practice, great team culture and most importantly *your weekends back*, I’d love to hear from you!
