Receptionist
Independent Veterinary Practice

Location: Warwickshire
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Flexible – Full-time or Part-time Available

GVC are assisting an independent veterinary practice in Nuneaton with the recruitment of a Receptionist to join their friendly and supportive team this summer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service. You don't need previous veterinary experience to be successful in this role, we're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for helping clients.

The role is based at the practice's small animal clinic, one of three sites within this well-established independent practice.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for clients, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional experience. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting clients and their pets
  • Booking and managing appointments
  • Answering telephone enquiries with a professional and friendly manner
  • Processing client payments
  • Providing administrative support to the clinical team
  • Helping ensure the reception area runs smoothly and efficiently

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Excellent customer service or client-facing experience
  • A professional and confident telephone manner
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • A calm and friendly approach when solving problems
  • Experience in a customer-facing role such as a GP surgery, dental practice, retail, hospitality or similar

Previous veterinary experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided for the right person.

Hours

The practice is flexible and happy to work around the right candidate.

Ideally, the role would be Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:30pm, however they are also happy to consider:

  • School hours
  • Part-time applicants
  • Two part-time Receptionists sharing the role

There are no out-of-hours or on-call requirements, and you'll benefit from paid one-hour lunch breaks.

What's on Offer

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Flexible working hours
  • Paid one-hour lunch breaks
  • No weekends, out-of-hours or on-call
  • Join a friendly team of four Receptionists
  • Work within a well-established independent veterinary practice
  • Full training and support provided

If you're personable, organised, and enjoy helping people, we'd love to hear from you
