Who They Are
GVC is supporting a well-established, stable small animal independent practice in the West Midlands, offering a modern clinical environment with ongoing investment in facilities and a genuinely supportive team structure. The practice is set up to help vets deliver consistent, high-quality care with strong nurse-to-vet support and the backing to develop clinically over the long term (including certificate support).
What You’ll Do
- Deliver high-quality first-opinion consultations, building clear diagnostic and treatment plans.
- Perform routine and more involved soft tissue procedures as appropriate for the caseload.
- Use practice diagnostics to support evidence-based decision-making (e.g., lab work, imaging where indicated).
- Work closely with the nursing team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow, strong inpatient care, and effective post-op plans.
- Maintain clinical standards aligned with RCVS expectations, including patient safety, analgesia, and clear clinical records.

What They Need
- RCVS registration (or eligibility to register) and confidence delivering safe first-opinion care.
- Ability to run structured consultations and progress cases from presentation to plan.
- Competence in routine procedures and a willingness to build surgical confidence over time (with support available).
- Clear communication that supports informed consent and good client outcomes.
- Team-based working alongside RVNs to deliver consistent patient care and smooth clinical days.
