The Role

This is a varied first-opinion Veterinary Surgeon position where you’ll have the opportunity to build strong client relationships, work cases up thoroughly and deliver the highest standard of care.

The practice is ideally seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with 4+ years of experience who is confident working independently. However, experienced clinicians with a strong all-round skillset or a particular passion for surgery are both encouraged to apply.

You’ll be joining an established team of three experienced Veterinary Surgeons, all with strong medicine and consulting skills, including one vet with a surgical bias. The team is happy to welcome either an experienced all-rounder or someone looking to utilise and further develop their surgical expertise.

The practice offers flexibility around your clinical interests, whether your passion lies in consulting, surgery, internal medicine, imaging or developing a specialist service. You’ll be supported to shape a role that suits your strengths while working alongside an experienced and welcoming team.

The Practice

You’ll be joining a modern, well-equipped small animal practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care.

The practice offers excellent facilities, including an on-site CT scanner, allowing clinicians to investigate and manage a wide range of cases in-house while maintaining a friendly, supportive atmosphere for both clients and colleagues.

You’ll become part of a collaborative team that enjoys working together, values open communication and is committed to continuous improvement.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • RCVS registration (or eligibility)
  • Around 5+ years of small animal experience
  • Confidence managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
  • A passion for delivering outstanding patient and client care
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork
  • A desire to continue developing your clinical skills
  • An interest in medicine, surgery, imaging or diagnostics would be welcomed, with both all-rounders or with a particular clinical-biased vets encouraged to apply

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys being part of a supportive team and wants to make a genuine difference to patients and clients.

Salary & Benefits

  • £40,000–£70,000 DOE
  • The upper end of the salary range is available for an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon, Senior Veterinary Surgeon or Certificate Holder
