Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Cotswolds, South Central England

GVC is assisting a well-established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice in the beautiful Cotswolds to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone seeking a four-day week with no weekends and no out-of-hours commitments.

About the Role

The practice is looking for a confident all-rounder with clinical experience in first opinion practice. Whether you’re a committed vet aspiring to a senior position or an experienced practitioner comfortable with routine duties, this role offers:

  • Full-time, 40 hours/week (flexible patterns considered for the right candidate)

  • Working hours: 08:30 – 18:30, Monday to Friday

  • No weekends

  • No out-of-hours work

  • Daily lunch break – the practice closes for lunch

  • Salary up to £70,000 per annum, dependent on experience

The practice has been providing outstanding, compassionate care to local pets across the region for over a century. Located in a picturesque market town on the southern edge of the Cotswolds, it offers a relaxed, supportive working environment with a strong focus on client care.

The clinical team has access to modern facilities and equipment, including:

  • Digital x-ray

  • Ultrasound

  • Multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring

  • Compressed air-powered dental tools

  • In-house laboratory

The Area
