About the Practice

This well-equipped small animal hospital operates across two sites in the Teesside area, with the primary base at the Middlesbrough hospital and additional work at a nearby practice. The team is large, supportive and genuinely close-knit — comprising 8 veterinary surgeons, 10 RVNs, 2 student nurses, and a full complement of reception and support staff across both sites.

A dedicated night team is based at the hospital, providing excellent continuity of care and meaning there is no OOH requirement for this role. 🙌

The hospital is well equipped with digital X-ray, dental radiography, Doppler ultrasound, in-house laboratory, multiparameter monitors and more — supporting a varied caseload that spans routine work through to advanced emergency cases.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 40 hours across 4 days per week, with no OOH. Part-time rotas can also be discussed. The role will be primarily based at the Middlesbrough hospital, with flexibility to also work from the Hartlepool practice.

Day-to-day, the role spans consultations, surgeries and hospitalised patient care — with real opportunity to develop and focus on areas of particular clinical interest. Relocation packages and assistance with temporary accommodation are available for candidates moving to the area.
