Veterinary Surgeon – East London – Up to £61,000 DOE – Hospital-Based Role

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident veterinary surgeon to join a busy, multi-disciplinary hospital team in East London. You’ll work alongside skilled colleagues across consulting, surgery, inpatient care, and emergency caseloads – no two days are ever the same.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing routine surgeries (including bitch spays and dentals), managing emergencies, and providing high-quality first-opinion care. You’ll be supported by a talented clinical team, including experienced hospital vets, senior medics, ECC vets, RVNs, and clinical managers.

Rota & Hours

• Full-time position averaging 40 hours per week

• 6-week rolling rota

• 1:3 Saturday and 1:6 Sunday rota

• Up to 2 bank holidays per year

• Participation in the last-resort on-call rotation

The hospital provides a comprehensive first opinion, emergency, critical care, and referral service, supported by a network of 20 branches across London. Facilities include:

• CT scanner and advanced diagnostic tools

• In-house laboratory and strong internal medicine team

• Experienced surgeons performing complex orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures

• Dedicated wards, ECC unit, and modern surgical suites

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £61,000 depending on experience
