Veterinary Surgeon – Lancashire, UK

Looking for a better work-life balance with a genuinely supportive team? This small animal and exotics practice on the Fylde Coast offers a full-time role across just 3 days per week, combining clinical variety with time to enjoy life outside of work.

The Opportunity

This well-established and growing practice is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their close-knit and friendly team. Open since 2005, the practice has expanded significantly and continues to invest in facilities, including a new CT suite and additional operating theatre due for completion soon.

You’ll be joining a collaborative environment where team support is a priority—whether you're newly qualified or an experienced vet, you’ll be encouraged to develop and thrive.

The Role

  • Full-time = 3 days per week (8:30am–7pm)
  • Last consult at 5:45pm for a smoother finish to your day
  • 1 weekday night on-call every 2 weeks
  • 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (finishing at 12pm)
  • Dedicated emergency vet covers Saturday afternoons
  • Structured day with allocated time for admin, calls, and case discussions
  • Strong support from RVNs and VCAs at all times

About the Practice

This is a well-equipped small animal and exotics practice with:

  • Separate dog and cat waiting areas and consult rooms
  • Dedicated wards for cats, rabbits, exotics, and birds
  • A growing caseload with excellent exposure to a wide variety of cases
  • Ongoing investment in advanced equipment and facilities

Salary

  • Up to £65,000 depending on experience
