Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – 24/7 Hospital – South Wales
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy, well-equipped 24/7 veterinary hospital in South Wales. This role offers a fantastic balance of first-opinion GP work and complex hospital cases, ideal for a confident vet looking to develop within a supportive, progressive environment.
The Role

Full-time position – up to 36 hours per week across 4 days

Mix of consulting, inpatient care and surgical caseload

Exposure to a diverse and complex caseload (including referrals from ~40 local practices)

1 in 5 weekends (9-hour shift, mainly consulting)

1 x 12-hour bank holiday shift per year
-
No sole charge – always supported by experienced vets and a large clinical team

Opportunity to mentor and support less experienced colleagues

About the Practice

About You

Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical skills

Confident managing a varied and sometimes complex caseload

Comfortable working both independently and within a team

Salary & Benefits

Up to £65,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Minimum 6.6 weeks’ holiday (including bank holidays, with buy/sell options)
