Veterinary Surgeon – Somerset & Wiltshire Border

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive and supportive small animal team based across the Somerset and Wiltshire border. This role offers genuine flexibility, excellent facilities, and the chance to work with a large, experienced clinical team in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

• Hours: Full-time or part-time considered

• Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE)

• Equipment: CT scanner, laparoscopic kit, digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, and onsite lab

The successful candidate will join a large multi-vet team with access to a dedicated 24-hour hospital and referral-level facilities. The hospital is fully staffed overnight by an experienced night nurse team, ensuring seamless continuity of care for inpatients.

This role would suit a competent general practitioner who enjoys a varied caseload within a supportive and well-resourced environment. With certificate holders across Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, and Feline Medicine – and a visiting Ophthalmology Diplomate – there is ample opportunity for professional growth and mentorship.

• Confident with routine consults and surgeries

• Strong communicator and team player

• RCVS registered 

• Keen to develop clinical skills further within a supportive, multi-disciplinary setting
