Veterinary Surgeon – Staffordshire

Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE | Permanent | Full Time | 40 Hours Per Week

A well-established small animal practice in Staffordshire is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and experienced team. This is a varied GP role, ideal for a vet who enjoys a mixture of consulting, medical and surgical cases and wants the opportunity to continue developing their clinical skills.

The Role

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• 3 days per week at the main practice and 1 day at a nearby sister practice
• Future 1 in 3 Saturday rota, 9am–2pm
• Varied GP caseload including consulting, medical and surgical cases
• 1–2 days of sole charge per week
• Experienced clinical support available nearby whenever required
• Digital X-ray, ultrasound and in-house laboratory facilities
• Dedicated preparation and theatre space
• Opportunity to develop your clinical interests and pursue further training and certificates
• Access to wider clinical communities, internal CPD and 24-hour hospital support

While the role includes some sole-charge work, you’ll never be without support. You’ll have the autonomy to manage consultations and routine surgery independently, while knowing experienced clinical support is close by whenever you need it.

About You

You’ll be a qualified MRCVS with a passion for clinical excellence and client care.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Confident with general practice, including consultations and routine surgery
• Comfortable working independently and managing sole-charge periods
• A good communicator with a strong focus on client care
• A team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
• Keen to develop their clinical interests and continue progressing professionally
