An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive practice in Somerset on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This flexible, part-time role offers an excellent work-life balance alongside the opportunity to work within a well-equipped practice and experienced clinical team.

Based in a picturesque Somerset market town, this role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a collaborative environment with strong clinical support and genuine flexibility.

The Role

• Part-time Veterinary Surgeon position
• 30 hours per week with flexible working options
• 12-month fixed-term contract
• 1 in 4 Saturdays
• Supportive team of 2 Veterinary Surgeons, Head RVN, RVN, and experienced support staff
• Well-equipped small animal practice with digital X-ray, operating theatre, and spacious consult rooms
• Varied first-opinion small animal caseload including consultations and routine surgery

About You

You will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient and client care. The practice is looking for a team-focused clinician who enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a positive practice culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering exceptional clinical care in consultations and surgery
• Creating tailored treatment plans for patients
• Building strong client relationships
• Working closely with an experienced nursing and support team
• Supporting continuous clinical development within the wider veterinary community

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £58,000 depending on experience (Pro rata)
