A modern, well‑equipped hospital offering varied caseloads, strong clinical support and meaningful work that makes a real impact on pets and owners.

The Practice We’re Supporting

GVC is working with a large, modern small‑animal hospital in the Leeds area. This hospital plays a key role in providing accessible veterinary care and is known for its strong collaborative culture, diverse caseload and commitment to supporting pets and owners who need it most. With a highly experienced clinical team and a focus on shared learning, the hospital offers a stable, well‑structured environment where vets can develop their skills while contributing to a meaningful mission.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a wide range of consultations, including routine care, complex medical cases and welfare‑focused decision‑making.
  • Perform diagnostics such as blood sampling, radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and laboratory interpretation.
  • Carry out routine and soft‑tissue surgeries, with opportunities to support more advanced procedures.
  • Apply evidence‑based clinical reasoning to create realistic treatment plans that balance best practice with individual circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi‑disciplinary team to maintain high standards of patient care and client communication.

What the Practice Can Offer You

  • A structured working pattern of 37.5 hours per week, typically across five days.
  • Balanced rota including shared weekend work with time off in lieu, and no weekday out‑of‑hours.
  • Competitive salary package and CPD allowance, including five CPD days and support for further development.
  • Payment of professional fees where applicable.
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy or sell additional days.
  • Access to modern hospital facilities including radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, separate dog and cat wards and extensive orthopaedic equipment.
  • Additional wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including employee assistance support, private medical cover and enhanced family‑friendly leave.
  • A supportive, purpose‑driven culture where teamwork, shared learning and continuous improvement are central to daily practice.
