Veterinary Surgeon – Supportive Team, Great Facilities – West Yorkshire – Competitive Salary DOE

A brilliant opportunity to join a well-established, friendly small animal practice in West Yorkshire — with excellent facilities, a genuinely supportive team culture, and real scope for clinical development and future leadership. 🐾

About the Practice

This light and spacious small animal practice in Huddersfield has built a strong reputation for clinical excellence and a genuinely welcoming team environment — many of the vets and nurses have been with the practice for years, which speaks volumes about the culture they've created.

The practice is well equipped with:

  • Five consulting rooms and two operating theatres
  • Dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray
  • Digital X-ray and ultrasound

The practice operates as part of a wider group that includes an RCVS Tier 3 Hospital running a bespoke OOH service, and two purpose-built branch practices — both equipped with digital X-ray and ultrasound. The team includes several certificate holders and colleagues working towards further qualifications, with free CPD readily available and plenty of opportunity for case discussion.

A loyal client base, regular social events, and a genuinely close-knit team round off what is a really appealing place to work. 🎂

About the Role

This is a permanent position, available full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time for the right candidate.

You'll be working within a culture where clinicians are empowered to make the best decisions for their patients, with access to telemedicine specialist support, advanced clinical services and regional clinical leads for case support and mentoring when needed.

The role would suit an experienced vet looking to develop their skills further — and for the right candidate, there is potential to progress into a leadership role in the future.

What They're Looking For

They are looking for a confident, experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about patient care, comfortable managing a varied caseload, and keen to develop both clinically and professionally. The ideal candidate will be a natural team player who enjoys supporting and mentoring colleagues, and who takes pride in building strong, lasting client relationships.
