GVC are assisting a friendly, established small animal practice in South Wales, to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon to join their close-knit team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who enjoys a balanced mix of consulting and surgery, with the backing of experienced colleagues and excellent facilities.

Located in a beautiful historic market town on the outskirts of Cardiff, this role offers the perfect blend of countryside, coast, and city living. This town is known for its welcoming community, independent shops and cafés, with easy access to Cardiff city centre and the South Wales coastline ideal for a strong work-life balance.

The Role

• Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)
• 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9am–1pm)
• Well-rounded role combining consulting and routine surgery
• Working alongside a supportive team of vets, RVNs, SVNs and receptionists

Busy small animal practice with excellent facilities, including:

• Two operating theatres
• Imaging equipment
• Dental x-ray
• Laser

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS)
• Confident in both consultations and surgery
• A team player with strong communication and client-care skills
• Passionate about delivering high-quality clinical care
• Comfortable working in a busy, supportive practice environment

What’s on Offer

• Up to £65,000K (dependent on experience)
• 5 weeks’ annual leave
• £1,500 CPD allowance plus 3 days’ paid CPD leave
• Certificate support encouraged
• All Fees Paid (RCVS Etc)
• Visa sponsorship and relocation support available
