An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, supportive practice in West Sussex on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role offering a varied caseload, strong clinical support, and genuine scope to develop your surgical and medical skills.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team of four vets (including a skilled surgeon and certificate-holding Lead Vet), a new graduate, experienced nurses, student nurses, and a friendly front-of-house team.

The practice offers a welcoming environment where clinical standards and professional growth are genuinely valued.

The clinic is well-equipped with two consult rooms, theatre, dental facilities, digital x-ray, and a comfortable staff area with garden space. You’ll also benefit from exposure to cases across a nearby branch practice, adding variety to your week.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of clinical care in both consults and surgery
• Create tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients
• Maintain regulatory and operational compliance
• Work collaboratively within a supportive, multi-disciplinary team
• Contribute to the development and knowledge-sharing culture within the practice

About You

• MRCVS qualified Veterinary Surgeon
• Confident in routine consults and surgery
• Passionate about clinical excellence and client care
• A team player who thrives in a supportive environment
• Keen to continue developing skills and broadening experience
