Veterinary Surgeon – West Yorkshire

We’re assisting a modern, well-equipped small animal practice, West Yorkshire, seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and progressive team. This role offers an excellent work–life balance with a 4-day week, no out-of-hours and strong clinical support.

About the Role

This permanent position starts as soon as possible and includes 40 hours across four days (or part-time from 30 hours).
Shifts run 8am–6pm or 8.30am–6.30pm with regular long weekends.

You'll join a large, supportive clinical team of 9 Vets and 8 RVNs, including:

• Certificate holders in Medicine, ECC, Surgery and GP

• Advanced Practitioners within key clinical disciplines

• A highly experienced RVN team, with several long-standing staff

It’s a genuinely collaborative environment where CPD and certificate study are fully encouraged and supported.

Practice Equipment & Facilities

This purpose-built, spacious practice offers an excellent clinical setup, including:

• Full in-house laboratory

• Ultrasound & echocardiography table

• Digital radiography

• Digital dental radiography

• Full dental suite

• Endoscopy & rhinoscopy

• Laparoscopy & arthroscopy

• Tonometry

• ECG

• Ortho kit for TTA & TPLO

• Laser therapy

• Stance analyser & PRP centrifuge

• Slit lamp biomicroscope

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent medical and surgical care

• Manage a varied caseload with support when needed

• Perform consults, routine surgeries and assist with advanced procedures

• Maintain high standards of client communication and patient care

About You

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon 

• Confident with routine surgical and medical cases

• Team player with strong communication skills

• Keen to develop clinically — CPD and certificates fully supported

• Visa sponsorship available for suitable candidates
