Veterinary Surgeon – Imaging Bias

East Yorkshire | Up to £65,000 DOE | Full-Time

Are you a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for diagnostic imaging, internal medicine or complex clinical cases?

GVC are assisting a busy 24-hour hospital in East Yorkshire with the recruitment of an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their clinically driven team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who enjoys working with a varied and interesting caseload and would like to develop their skills in diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, cardiology or neurology.

The Role

The successful candidate will join an experienced hospital team and will ideally have an imaging or medical bias, alongside an interest in ECC.

The hospital has excellent diagnostic capabilities, including:

  • Digital radiography
  • High-spec ultrasound
  • Full-body CT
  • Comprehensive in-house laboratory
  • Two fully equipped theatres
  • Spacious preparation and treatment areas
  • Three consulting rooms
  • Dedicated laboratory facilities

With this level of equipment on-site, there is plenty of opportunity to work up interesting and complex cases and really utilise your clinical skills.

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week over 4 days
  • 1 in 6 full weekends
  • Part-time hours can be considered for the right candidate
  • Salary up to £65,000 DOE

About You

We’re looking for an experienced MRCVS who is confident in first-opinion practice and keen to work within a hospital environment.

You may have a particular interest or experience in:

  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Internal medicine
  • Cardiology
  • Neurology
  • ECC

You don’t need to be a specialist — we’re looking for someone who is clinically curious, enjoys working up cases and wants to continue developing their skills.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is a supportive, collaborative hospital environment where clinical standards and patient care are genuinely important. You’ll be surrounded by a team with a wide range of experience, giving you plenty of opportunity to learn, share knowledge and develop your own areas of interest.

There is also strong support for your continued development, including:

  • CPD allowance and paid CPD leave
  • Certificate support and internal career development
  • RCVS, VDS and BVA fees covered
  • Private medical insurance and health cash plan
  • 5 weeks' annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Additional paid day off each year
  • Relocation support and visa sponsorship available
  • 24/7 wellbeing and counselling support
  • Life assurance
