GVC are assisting a proudly independent veterinary group with the recruitment of a Feline Veterinary Surgeon to join its cat-only clinic in Worthing.

🐾 About the Practice

The group works collaboratively across its clinics, hospitals, emergency teams and referral services, giving you access to additional expertise and support when managing more complex cases.

With warm, welcoming interiors designed to create a calm, home-from-home environment, the focus is on making visits as comfortable as possible for both cats and their owners.

🩺 The Role

You’ll be based at a dedicated cat-only clinic in, providing first-opinion veterinary care to feline patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied feline caseload.

• Performing routine surgical procedures and dental work.

• Working confidently in a sole-charge environment.

• Building strong relationships with clients and providing personalised care.

• Collaborating with the wider veterinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

• Developing your clinical interests, with support available for further training and qualifications.

👩‍⚕️ About You

You’ll be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with at least three years of practical UK general practice experience and a genuine passion for feline medicine.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a particular interest or specialism in feline care.

• Is a confident all-rounder, comfortable with routine procedures and dentals.

• Can work independently and manage sole-charge responsibilities.

• Is committed to continuing professional development.

• Shares a compassionate, collaborative and client-focused approach.

Above all, you’ll share the practice’s values of humility, respect, empathy, honesty, communication and teamwork.

⏰ Working Pattern

Flexibility is available, with both full-time and part-time applications welcomed.

The typical full-time rota includes:

• Four days per week, working across the two Worthing clinics.

• 40 hours per week, with 10-hour shifts.

• Shift times varying between 7:30am and 7:30pm.

• One-hour lunch break.

• Equal rota for weekends and bank holidays, typically 1 in 6.

• Two days off in lieu for weekends worked.

Part-time hours can be discussed to suit the right candidate.

💷 Salary & Benefits

• £45,000–£65,000+ per annum, depending on experience, certificates and Advanced Practitioner status.
