Situated in St Helens, Merseyside, the practice offers access to a thriving community with exceptional transport links. The main hospital operates as a busy, RCVS-accredited first opinion and referral center, supported by 9 local branch surgeries. You will be joining an incredible nursing team comprising ACAs, SVNs, RVNs, and Diploma-holding RVNs who take immense pride in supporting one another! 🤝💙

🔬 About the Role & Team:

This role offers fantastic clinical variety! As part of the hospital team, your duties will rotate through:

• 🐶 Hospital Wards & Inpatient Care
• ✂️ Theatre (spanning both First Opinion and Referral cases)
• 🩺 Dermatology & Internal Medicine
• 💊 Dispensary, Laboratory Work & Nurse-Led Clinics

Rota:

• 🗓️ Shift Patterns: Alternate weeks of 7:00am – 3:00pm and 10:30am – 6:30pm, with a late shift (2:00pm – 10:00pm) roughly once every 8 weeks.
• ⏰ Weekends: 1 in 5 (working either a Saturday OR a Sunday).
• 🌙 OOH: NO NIGHTS! Dedicated night staff cover OOH, though extra paid night shifts are available if desired!
• 📅 Bank Holidays: Minimum of 1 per year (compensated with double pay + a day off in lieu).

• 🎓 Be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN).
• ❤️ Possess a genuine passion for delivering high standards of care to both patients and clients.
• 🩺 Enjoy a diverse nursing workload including surgical nursing, patient care, lab work, and consultations.
